THERE ARE HEROES AMONG US!!!

THESE PEOPLE AND BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY

WENT OVER AND ABOVE THE CALL OF DUTY!

JEN GAITHERS our camp nurse

donates 4 WEEKS of her summer to CampKoski  ... AMAZING !!!

Jen keeps records of all of the campers' allergies and medications.  She sits in the nurse's suite for 5+ hours each camp day, waiting for kids to walk through her door.  Sometimes the campers or counselors need a band-aid or an ice pack ... Other times, they may just need a quiet place to go and chill.  Jen, and her dog "BUR," are always ready to welcome visitors!!!  Jen's daughter, Molly, also volunteers at CampKoski ... she is learning the ropes of becoming a counselor by assisting at the different camp stations.  Molly loves animals!!

SIMPLE FAITH FARM in Jarrettsville

brought their amazing ALPACAS for us to meet, walk, and hug!!!

TRACY DIETRICH PHOTOGRAPHY in Perry Hall

donated her sitting fees to raise money for Walk for Autism Speaks!

Many children with Autism are not comfortable getting photographed.  The bright lights and strange surroundings of a photography studio can be overwhelming for them.

Tracy used natural light in a familiar setting to make the children feel more comfortable ... resulting in some beautiful family portraits.

SAINT ISAAC JOGUES CHURCH

YOUTH BAND "ENLIGHTENED"

performed some inspiring music during our Vacation Bible Camp session.

The campers and counselors relaxed together on the giant parachute,

listening to the music and making new CampKoski memories.

DE SANTIS' PIZZA GRILL & BAR on Belair Rd. (Perry Hall)

donated funds to pay for many of the therapy swings in our Sensory Barn!

MASON RIVERA ... is now an Eagle Scout!!

With the help of fellow scouts and leaders, Mason built an amazing nature pavilion on CampKoski's walking trails. Now, our campers have a designated area in which to stop and have a hands-on nature lesson during their walks.

A special thanks goes out to Mason, his parents, and all of the great guys who helped with this amazing new structure.  WE LOVE IT!!!

FAST EDDIE'S PIT BEEF on Belair Rd.

SUNSHINE GRILL on Fork Rd.

PALMISANO'S on Long Green Pike

These local restaurants donated some delicious lunches for our volunteers and staff ... and boy, did we appreciate it!

The band "ECHOES IN COLOR" volunteered their time, talents, and energy to rock out at our camp!

The HARFORD COUNTY ESTUARY was gracious enough to join us one afternoon ... along with some very cool snakes.

WEDDING DOVES FOR LOVE stopped by with some extraordinary birds.

The EMTS and PARAMEDICS from the KINGSVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT

came to visit in a special paramedic truck!

The LONG GREEN FIRE DEPARTMENT drove to CampKoski

in a "GREEN" fire engine!

THANK YOU FOR BEING A HERO

TO A CHILD WITH AUTISM!
